i first got hooked up with LJ when I moved to LA, which would have been april of 02, and I was getting blue/white at that time, but anyone whose account predates that kept the orange candy look unless they opted in to blue and white (anna's is orange candy to this day). so that would be appropriate for 03 for anyone who didn't consciously opt into the older style, I would think, and it would be out of character for Zuckerberg as portrayed in that film to have cared that much about the interface of his LJ.
